Hillary Clinton begins calling Iowa Democrats
December 4, 2006
Sen. Hillary Clinton began making calls today to Iowa Democrats about the state’s political landscape with an eye toward its 2008 presidential nominating caucuses, aides to Clinton said.
The moves come as the New York senator has accelerated the steps she has taken since her November re-election toward making a decision about whether to run for president.
“She’s begun the process of making some calls into Iowa,†Lorraine Voles, Clinton’s communication director, said today in a telephone interview with The Des Moines Register.
