Hillary Clinton ’so proud’ of Wal-mart

WASHINGTON TIMES - Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton was an enthusiastic supporter of Wal-Mart while she was first lady of Arkansas, according to new videos unearthed by the Center for Public Integrity, a journalistic watchdog group.
Clinton served on the board of Wal-Mart from November 1986 to May 1992, according to the group, which maintains that she is skittish about her prior affiliation with the retail giant, which angers many progressive activists because of its labor practices.
"I'm so proud of this company, and everything it represents," Clinton states in one of the videos released by the group. "Anytime I travel and I tell people I'm from Arkansas . . . Wal-Mart's on top of the list, and everybody wants me to tell them about Wal-Mart and Sam Walton and Helen Walton and all of the Wal-Mart associates. It makes me feel real good about what we're able to do and what we can show and the sort of leadership we're given."
