Behind the Scenes at the MSM: The next 72 hours could be some serious popcorn time

Just off the phones with old friends and fiends at the networks. Here is the latest as they see it, although as show producers and assignment editors wrap up morning meetings at this hour, there are still many unanswered questions about the direction of the Dem nominating process, ie: What will Hillary do?
Her likely departure from the campaign will NOT be driven by tonight’s vote totals, but by the details of a deal she can construct with Obama.
A few notes. Look at the next 10 days from an Occam’s Razor viewpoint. The simplest answer is usually the valid one. There will be much misdirection over the next few days, but make sure you “look behind the curtain” and see who is pulling the levers… AND WHY!
There are already a number of far-reaching events in progress:
1: Multiple “tell all” books are already at the printers. Most are scathing in their treatment of both Bill and Hillary, although some attempt to blame Bill for all the problems created for Saint Hillary.
2: Attempts to blame Bill’s incredibly bad behavior on “post-open heart surgery trauma” are falling on deaf ears. Those who would make excuses for Bill are becoming a smaller and smaller element of the Democrat Party. There is a huge fight brewing between the old guard, union and blue collar Dems on one side and the new, far-left wing, gay, academic and Soros-type Dems on the other side. Best bets as to a victor, Old Line Dems (unless Obama wins the General, which is very unlikely) Why the old-line dems, when the New Kids On The Black have the “fire?” Because the old-line party pols won’t play “fair,” and the kids won’t know what hit them.
3. Hillary sees 2008 as “all-in.” She either wins it all this year, or it’s all over. She has no desire to remain one of a hundred members of the world’s biggest “old boys’ club,” the U.S. Senate, and has little stomach for a fight to oust a sitting Black Dem governor of New York. In addition, her failure to win the endorsement of important senators such as Kennedy was shattering to her ego.
4. Bill is a dead man walking. Everyone is VERY po’ed at him.
5. Hillary may have the Michelle Obama “I hate white people” tape, if it even exists, but it could matter little in the Dem primaries. To Dem primary voters, such a statement would be Radical Chic. In the General, it could be disastrous, but Dem primary voters are VERY different from General voters.
What will happen tonight and the next few days? No one knows, but they are expecting some serious fireworks.
The next 72 hours could be some serious popcorn time.
