June 21, 2008
By Erica Erwin
Erie School District administrators have two words for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton: Pay up.

So can we close the book on Barack Obama choosing Hillary Clinton as his running mate? Almost, but not quite. Despite the lingering animosity between the two camps; despite the fact her presence on the ticket would undermine Mr. Obama's theme of a new direction; despite the potential political danger of Bill Clinton being back on the stage; and despite estranged Clinton aide Patti Solis Doyle's recent hiring by the Obama campaign, there remains a very outside chance that the so-called "Dream Ticket" might still happen.

The donor, speaking on background, said that everyone in Clinton circles knows the two have hard feelings towards one another and haven't spoken since Clinton removed Solis Doyle as campaign manager, and that Clinton loyalists view her with deep suspicion and believe that she is shopping around a book deal and acted as a background source for an extremely harsh Vanity Fair piece about Bill Clinton.
