What Bill and Hillary Don’t Want You To Know - Their poor record on terrorism

September 8, 2007

Frontpage Magazine interviewed Cyrus Nowrasteh, the writer and producer of the ABC miniseries The Path to 9/11, which the Clinton's have tried to censor.   Don't ever underestimate the Clinton's ability to terrorize the people who attempt to expose the truth about 9/11.

From Frontpage:

FP: Cyrus Nowrasteh, welcome back to Frontpage Interview.

Nowrasteh: Good to be with you.

FP: Well, it looks as though among the twenty television DVDs slated for nationwide release on Sept. 11, your film, The Path to 9/11, is not one of them. It couldn’t possibly be that your $40-million, five-hour ABC miniseries, which has received seven Emmy nominations and attracted an audience of 25 million people, has no interest. It definitely has more interest than a lot of the garbage on DVD shelves. What is happening here do you think?

Nowrasteh: I’ve been told by a top Disney/ABC exec that “if Hillary weren’t running for President this wouldn’t be a problem”, meaning the DVD would be out. This is to appease the Clintons, plain and simple.

FP: So if there are powerful forces operating out there to protect Bill Clinton's presidential legacy and to help, in turn, Hillary’s bid for the White House — and to make sure she is not damaged in any way by this DVD, how would their “political pressure” work exactly? How does it operate?

Nowrasteh: Well, last year at this time it was a coordinated effort from the Clintons, Sandy Berger, the DNC, and the far-left loony blogosphere to swamp ABC with emails and phone calls and threats to get them to block the broadcast, or recut the movie. Since then it’s been more subtle. I know there have been phone calls to top execs at Disney from President Clinton himself, and friends of the Clintons, of which there are many in Hollywood.

FP: You received death threats before your miniseries ran didn’t you?

Nowrasteh: Multiple threats. Yes.

FP: If the DVD is killed because of the reasons you are pointing to, what kind of precedent does this set?

Nowrasteh: A very dangerous one. Politicians and the nuts on the far-left sites will see it as a victory — and other nuts will use this example to coordinate and shut down other entertainment they don’t like. Oliver Stone is the only film-maker to step up and realize how dangerous this is. Where are the other voices? The WGA? The DGA? PEN, of which I’m a member and 2-time award winner? Where are they? This is blatant stifling of creative expression .

FP: Tell us a bit about The Path to 9/11 and why the Democrats were – and are – so furious about it. Didn’t ABC almost cancel it last year due to “pressures” and some “edits” were imposed?

Nowrasteh: They were upset because we hit on the hot-button truth they didn’t want exposed: Their poor record in dealing with Usama Bin Laden and terrorism in the 90s, as well as the lead-up to 9/11. Now, the miniseries was also harsh on the Bush administration, especially Condoleeza Rice, and we point out their many failures as well. So there’s no bias here and those who say there is haven’t watched the show.

FP: What is the meaning in all of this and what can concerned citizens do?

Nowrasteh: This is ominous for any film-maker who wants to look at history with a sharp eye — what it says is that you can attack conservatives and Republicans all you want, but if you criticize Democrats or liberals you risk being censored by their friends in Hollywood. It’s the same thing that’s going on from the the Democratic Congress about the “Fairness Doctrine”.

Last year, concerned citizens on the Left flooded Disney/ABC with emails and phone calls and nearly shut down the miniseries. What people are willing to do now, I have no idea….

FP: Cyrus Nowrasteh, thank you for joining Frontpage Interview.

Nowrasteh: Thank you.

Al Gore Says He’s Not Obligated To Vote For Hillary Clinton

September 5, 2007

Democrat Al Gore says he will probably endorse one of his party's 2008 presidential candidates. And it won't necessarily be Hillary Rodham Clinton, the wife of his former boss.

"Uh…no," the former vice president told 02138 magazine when asked if he feels "some obligation" to endorse the senator from New York.

"I have friendships with her and with other candidates, and they're all on equal footing at this point as far as I'm concerned," he said.

Gore said several candidates had called and visited him to seek advice. He declined to name them.

Bill Clinton Ruled Out Running As Hillary’s Vice President

September 4, 2007

Bill Clinton ruled out running as Hillary Rodham Clinton's Vice President tonight during a taping of the David Letterman Show, according to the Drudge Report:

Dave: “Now there was a discussion last week, and there is I guess a greater discussion, and there’s some confusion, and maybe I’m the only one confused about the eligibility of a man who has been elected twice as President to possibly be named later on the ticket as Vice President. Constitutionally speaking, can that happen?”

Clinton: “I don’t believe so. There are some people who believe it can, and they have contorted readings of the amendment, the 22nd Amendment. But I believe as a matter of general interpretation, you’re supposed to read all the Constitution including all the Amendments as if they were written almost on the same day at the same moment, so they’re consistent with one another. And the Constitution says the qualifications for Vice President are the same as those for President. Now you can read that to mean ‘to serve,’ not ‘to run for.’ But I just don’t believe it’s consistent with the spirit of the Constitution for someone who’s been President twice to be elected Vice President. I just don’t think it’s Constitutional. I don’t think it’s right and I wouldn’t want to do that. I’d want to do whatever I could do to be of highest and best use for her, but there are lots of wonderful people out there, including all the people that are running this time would be good Vice Presidents. And, that’s just not in the cards.”

Not Everybody Loves Bill and Hillary in the Hamptons

August 8, 2007

By George Gurely

For the past several summers, former United States President Bill Clinton and current U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton have made a salty pilgrimage to the Hamptons, where they speak to their supporters, breathe the same air as they do, get their picture taken with them, maybe eat banana pancakes with them and depart with fat happy sacks of cash.

Bill and Hillary Clinton

Not everyone out there is thrilled.

“I don’t know if it’s bad for the country, but as far as I concerned, it’s not a good thing,” said John McEnroe Sr. The father of the tennis champion was wearing a sharp white jacket at a benefit under a tent for Southampton Hospital last Saturday, which was attended by an older, silver-haired, moneyed crowd. While the Clintons were not at the party, they were indeed somewhere on the East End of Long Island and their presence was being felt.

“I’m just not a fan of Hillary and I’m not going to become one,” said Mr. McEnroe.

Does he think Mr. Clinton has been faithful?

“Oh, God no,” said his wife, Kay.

“Absolutely not,” agreed Mr. McEnroe, but added that another sex scandal wouldn’t necessarily hurt the country. “We got through the other one pretty well. And I think we’d get through the next one. But we know he’s had some situations; we know some people who live up where they live. I’m not going into the names. But I have no question that he’s had another dalliance or two.”

“We’ve had a house out here for seven years,” Mr. McEnroe continued. “They can come here anytime they want and raise as much money as they possibly can. I don’t blame them; I would do it, too. There’s more money out here than there is almost anywhere else. Why wouldn’t they come and get the money?”

Hillary Clinton Faces Mostly Tough Crowd in Hometown

August 7, 2007

First the city fathers tried bolting it right onto the old street sign. Then they ordered the special vandal-proof steel fasteners and super-strong epoxy. But nothing stopped the souvenir hunters from swiping the little green "Rodham Corner" sign when the sun set on Wisner Street.

The Rodham Family

Last year, officials here moved the marker 15 feet up, onto a light pole. It's nearly impossible to spot unless you've made a pilgrimage to 235 Wisner, the faux-Georgian brick house where Hillary Rodham grew up.

"So far no one's gotten to the sign way up there, but they will," city manager Tim Schuenke said.

Clinton is the town's best-known daughter (Harrison Ford is its most famous son), so it's hard to find a gathering these days where she's not at least a fleeting topic of conversation.

But Clinton doesn't enjoy any home field advantage on her block, where she grew up a pugnacious, precocious and uncommonly well-read tomboy.

There's civic pride about her accomplishments, and an appreciation of her reportedly positive impact on Wisner Street real estate values. But when it comes to presidential politics, ambivalence blankets the block like its broad, emerald lawns.

"I'm still analyzing each candidate, but I don't think it's going to be Hillary," said Andria Barone, 31, a psychologist who lives four houses down from 235. "I don't like the way she does politics, the way she tries to make the other person look bad, like she did with Obama after that last debate," she added.
